  • Enjoy a camel safari on double-humped Bactrian camels at the sand dunes of Hundar. Visit the ancient Diskit Monastery nearby.
  • Visit Pangong Lake, famous for its changing colors and clear blue water. The scenic journey through Shyok Valley is just as beautiful.

Itinerary

Arrive Guwahati at morning and drive to Shillong en-route we make a stop at the majestic Umiam Lake or locally known as Barapani, surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. Indulge yourself in a speed boat ride available for tourist and run by the Meghalaya Tourism department. (On direct payment basis). Arrive Shillong and start the local sightseeing. The places of interest includes city’s own Ward’s Lake is popular for short garden walks & boating. Later visit St. Catholic Cathedral & the Don Bosco ethnological museum where one can have an idea about ethnological diversity of north-eastern states of India. On time, check-in at hotel. At evening on your own you can take a stroll in the Shillong happening place “Police Bazaar”. Overnight at Shillong hotel.
